inherited a timeshare
Hi everyone,
I'm not so much a real estate person but I've got a problem that I think only the pros can help with, which is why I'm signed up here. (Also, I couldn't find a subforum that was a perfect fit, so why not just put it in the intro section?)
To cut to the chase, I have inherited my old aunt's timeshare in Florida. I guess she thought my family and I would enjoy it, but we've only gone once in the past year and a half because there are so many restrictions involved in getting your week. In this time, we've paid a huge amount in maintenance fees and homeowners fees and taxes, all for something we never wanted and can't seem to use!
So I should sell it, right? I've listed it on ebay starting at a dollar, and nobody bid. I've listed it in real estate forums and nobody has responded even once. I don't blame them, it's not something I would pay a dollar for -- but unfortunately, I've already paid thousands of dollars without any choice about it.
So my question for you all is this: what should be my next move?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
Patty
