My name is Quran Graves. I'm a 25 year old father of two working in the medical field and have been trying to get into real estate. My cousin suggested i reach out and find a group in my area that can teach me how to structure wholesale deals to get my foot in the door. I live in Long Beach , Ca and work near this area as well. i see plenty of homes in this area as well as Los Angeles that have potential but i have no idea on how to structure a deal. My ultimate goal is to buy and hold rental units and continue to increase my portfolio over time resulting in an impressive real estate empire i can pass down to my children. The cost of living in Southern California is ridiculous and it is hard to manage with only 35k a year. My 5 year goal is to acquire at least 10 units by buying at least one duplex per year over the next 5 years. I am willing to do house hacking as well to achieve this goal. The issue I'm having is securing funding for these purchases. I know all I need is to get my first multi-unit and the rest will follow but it is so hard to save cash. Please if anyone is interested in talking and advising me on these things I'm ready to learn what you have to teach.
