Introduction - DC area

Hello BP!

My name is Ed Engle and I've been browsing BP for some time now but never posted a formal introduction.

A little about me: I'm based in the DC area and have been in the commercial real estate world for about seven years now. The first three years were spent on the debt side, financing asset-level CRE and coporate-level term loans, revolvers, etc. The past four years I've spent doing equity acquisitions for two different REITs. The first one focused on senior housing assets (anything from age-restricted apartments to Memory Care). The second REIT I did acquisitions for focused on office and industrial properties. Both were national firms and I bought all over the country (US only).

I'm currently taking time away from the corporate world and want to learn more about the single/multi-family investment world, specifically in the DC area. I'm happy to share any insight from my experience and am looking forward to engaging in great discussions. If you're in the DC area, I would love the chance to pick your brain on this market.

Thanks everyone.

Ed
