Newbie from Southeastern Massachusetts!

Hello everyone in the BP community! I’m very excited having recently joined the discussion! A little info about myself … I’ve spent the last 4.5 years leasing and managing residential apartment communities for a publicly traded REIT. I’ve finally fired my boss and effective April 2011 I will be making the transition to a full-time real estate agent/investor in the Southeastern MA area. It’s quite nerve-racking, but I honestly couldn’t be more excited to begin getting my RE goals underway!

I’ve already read many articles here on BP and it’s proven to be a very educational resource. My ultimate RE goal would to have a company with some great marketing campaigns in place that produce leads with lots of profit potential … completes several well-managed residential rehab projects annually … and has anywhere from 10-20 long-term holds. It’s good to dream big, but in reality that’s quite a ways down the road for me. As for the immediate future, I need to begin taking action by setting up my entity, putting some initial (i.e. less expensive) marketing campaigns together, and hopefully putting together my first wholesale deal and/or small fix and flip before the end of the year.
