Where, Who and How Can I Connect

Hello All,

Hope everyone is well! I'm writing to you all because I am finding myself getting stuck in my own head about beginning to invest. I'm working on my credit and debt (school and survival things) and get overwhelmed with the idea that I have to wait another 2-3 years before I can start investing in property myself. I know there is OPM but I honestly don't even know how to start that conversation with someone.

(It's not a matter of my effort or how hard I work but I would like a buffer/mentor that I can run things by before asking people to believe in a deal I can provide numbers for and let me borrow thousands of dollars. I hope someone can understand why that could be a little uncomfortable. )

I reside in the Bronx and the competition for property out here is serious. I think I should start looking a bit more upstate but wish I could pick someone's brain who has had a similar dilemma. I'm dabbling with the idea of Newburgh but don't know too much about the area but I've heard a handful of investors are beginning to dip their hands into this little area and I can see development happening in the next few years.

Anyone care to have a convo?

Thanks for taking the time to read.
