Hi BP members,

My name is Mathew I am a travel nurse currently working in Santa Rosa, CA. Besides buying and selling my primary residence I have no experience in real estate. I am originally from Southern California. I joined BP to learn more about real estate investing. I am interested in purchasing Multi-family properties out of state. I look forward to being part of the community and learning as I go along my journey.

This is what I know so far:

1. I am looking for multifamily properties out of state that cashflow. The cities I'm interested are Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, IN,       Jacksonville, FL, and Durham/Raleigh, NC.

2. I am interested in house hacking because of the 3.5% down FHA loan, but I travel full time and don't need to live there. Is this allowed to be fully rented? Or should I just go the traditional route and put 20% down on a conventional loan.

3. Im looking for anyone is the Santa Rosa area that is currently investing out of state. If I can link with other people or join discussion or seminars from locals or even online that would amazing!!

Thank you all for hearing me out.

Mathew
