Hello to all, new member checking in here. I’m a mechanical engineer by trade, working primarily in the industrial automation and robotics industries. I’ve been on the fence reading/listening/dreaming for way too long learning about various investment opportunities and am ready to take a leap into real estate investing. I’m most intetested in multi-family and possibly note investing with some IRA funds to start. I’m looking to start building a network in this industry and creating a life with more freedom for myself. Thanks for reading.

@Lane Nielson Welcome to BP! This is the best source for you to continue your educational journey and leap into REI. Be sure to take in all the podcasts and webinars you can and get familiar with the calculators. They help tremendously to better understand the numbers which can help save you from getting into a bad deal. For me the calculators alone made the Pro membership with the cost to save me from making a huge mistake in buying bad deal. Beyond that I have gone back to listen to every single podcast and learn from others experience to better prepare me and finally got past the fear and bought my first property a little over a year ago and now looking to buy my second & third very soon. Be sure to reach out and network with as many others as you can. You never know when you may find an opportunity to partner on a deal or have something brought to you that you otherwise would never know about. Best of luck to you!
