Hi Everyone,

Me and my wife Emily are new to Real Estate investing but very motivated to learn. I just started studying a little over a month ago and we both joined the local REIA shortly after as well. I found Biggerpockets when searching for RE podcasts and thought it was great.

I currently work Full time as a Computer Network Engineer and looking to invest part time at first. It would be a dream to eventually have enough passive income to replace my job. I feel like this is the right path for us and something we both enjoy learning. We knew we did not want to be employees all our life but was not sure what to do till now.

Just trying to learn enough to get that first deal under way. I heard wholesaling was a good start for a newbie so I thought about trying that first. Only experience I have with Real Estate comes from being a home owner and fixing things around the house on my own. Before I start my first deal I feel like I need to learn more about the laws and what contracts to use when. I also need to get good with comps and figuring out the ARV. I just do not want to be one of those people who never do the first deal because they are afraid or think they are not ready.
