Newbie starting out in NYC

Hello! I am a 24 year old who recently started to seriously consider going into REI. My friend who recently bought a rental referred me here when I inquired where he learned from. I am based in NYC Brooklyn, so I would like to choose Brooklyn as the location for my first rental. I want to take a moment to introduce myself to the community on Biggerpockets and say I hope to learn a lot from you guys! I am a complete beginner in REI investing. I also want to take a moment and ask what are the recommended REI clubs in NYC as well.

My goal for my first investment is to buy a quadplex using a FHA loan and rent out the other 3 properties by March of 2019
