Greetings! Newbie from Sacramento CA!
Greetings and well wishes all BP members!
My name is Jeff Neves, currently located and preparing to start investing in Sacramento CA!
I've had a successful career as a luxury car diagnostic technician for the past 20 or so years, which I still currently enjoy and crush daily, however I've realized that it isn't likely I will ever make any more than I currently do. Essentially I've capped out.
I still very much enjoy working on cars, and plan to continue doing so because I love it, but I'm ready to start growing my wealth as well as generating passive income.
I've owned a few homes, I have some experience as a self managing landlord, I've made some mistakes and had a couple big wins as well. Learned a lot from all my experiences!
My plan is to [airbnb] hack the master suite in the very nice home I currently own until my unfortunate (but necessary) divorce is final, and the home is sold, at which point I will have the capital to start phase 2 of my plan.
Phase 2 is to purchase, refurb (and hack) a multifamily home in Sacramento with as much leverage as possible as long as the numbers still work. Exploring 203k loans for that purpose...
I want to retain as much capital as possible to take advantage of any significant market downturns, at which point I plan to much more aggressively rinse and repeat multifamily hacks, and/or jump into some SFR flips or perhaps even some BRRR strategy buys.
I'm definitely still sharpening my axe, but am burying myself in the BP podcasts on spotify, I've got a few books under my belt, (almost done with Brandon's book on rental investing, zero and low money down up next!) and am super stoked to finally have joined the BP community!
Very much looking forward to being a part of the madness that is real estate investing, as well as being a part of the forums here and learning from all the experienced members. I definitely have learned from my own mistakes, and I love to learn from the mistakes of others. I won't live long enough to make them all myself!
Feel free to critique my plan! Cheers!
