Hi everyone,

I’ve always loved real estate and in coming across BiggerPockets, I feel like I’ve finally found a way to turn that into a way to create income and financial independence.

By day, I work in consulting and by night I’m a competitive martial artist (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). I’m from Washington, DC originally but my wife and I (and 2 cats) are currently living in San Diego. She’s a nurse in the Navy, which brought us here.

I’ve been an accidental investor for a while, but I’m new to investing on purpose. I’ve had a great time absorbing as much as I can on BP. It’s such a gift.

My intended investing strategy is to buy properties in great school districts and rent them out to nice families who will hopefully take good care of the property and stay for a while. So far I am considering investing in:
Oklahoma City, OK (and surrounding suburbs)

Houston, TX

Jackson, MS

Mobile, AL

I’m very excited to begin networking with folks on the site and if there is ever anything I can do to help, please let me know.

David

@Rhett Tullis, I've read a number of your posts in the OKC forums. Thanks so much for the reply.

@Dylan B., Yes - I'm on my second time reading it. It's gold.

Thanks all for the warm welcome!
