Hello from Westchester

Hi all,

I've always had an interest in real estate investing and decided it's time to look into it a bit deeper.  I'd like to eventually work my way up to aparment buildings,  but most likely looking to start with a fixing up and renting a duplex.

My background couldn't be further away from the topic.  I've been doing System Engineering for the past 20+ years, and yes I of course have some pipedreams of how to combine the two worlds.

With that said I think my area is a bit tax heavy for me to jump into.  I'm not too comfortable with the idea of a long distance flip, but I'm going to look into New Rochelle.  I need to do more research on it but I think it has good chance of property value in the next 5-10 years.
