Hello Bigger Pockets!

My name is Mark and I am new to real estate investing. I currently live in Conroe, TX which is just north of Houston, TX and work for a local power utility. My background is in engineering and I currently work in energy efficiency. 

My journey to Bigger Pockets started with a free seminar from Rich Dad Poor Dad in The Woodlands, TX. I found the add on Facebook and wanted to see what Robert K. had to say about the subject of real estate. It was a great seminar! At this seminar, I learned about different ways to invest in real estate. After the seminar, I looked for different websites that could teach me about real estate investing and Bigger Pockets stood out as an amazing resource! I am now a subscriber to the podcast and surf Bigger Pockets during my free time. 

At the Rich Dad Poor Dad seminar, I learned about wholesaling and how it can jump start a real estate journey. Since I am new to real estate investing, I am interested in learning more about wholesaling in Montgomery County, Texas and how I can make deals for other investor. My goal for wholesaling is more that just learning about real estate and helping other investors; I want to get my family out of debt. My wife and I have student loans that need to go and I want to use the power of real estate to make them disappear forever. 

Being new to real estate leaves me struggling on where to start and how take action. So, I am following Brandon's advice from the podcast and "vacuuming my truck."
