Starting a New Journey

Hey all,

My name is Joe and I just joined BP a few days ago.  I have to say, I'm overwhelmed with how much great information is being shared here, and look forward to consuming as much of it as humanly possible.  So far I've listened to 10-15 of the podcasts (which are fantastic for a newbie like me), read up on a bunch of financing/RE terminology and practices, started the Ultimate Beginner's Guide, and bought 5-6 books.  I'm about halfway done with Rich Dad Poor Dad, and already can't wait to get to some of the others which I bought per the recommendations of the podcast guests.  Oh, and I signed up for a local meetup here in Chicago.

I'm partnering with a lifelong buddy of mine to get the train rolling.  We're currently looking for our first multi-family property, and are hoping to purchase several multi-family properties within the next year.  I realize it won't be easy (and I have some first-hand knowledge of the struggles, being the de facto property manager of a 4-flat my parents have owned for my whole life, as well as helping my sister with her 2-flat), but when I'm motivated to do something, I do it.  Anyway, I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully contributing myself sooner rather than later.

Thanks!
