Ive been on the sidelines, of BP and REI for years now. First of all, thank you, to all the members of BP. You all have the greatest post in all of biz forums-land.

My family members were in mortgage banking with the largest of the now extinct firms. We thought that gave us a nice entrance into real estate  When my husband and I decided to move away from commissions (not by choice) as we knew them in wholesale lending I remembered BP. We've taken almost every course, read almost every book and post, ready to set up a routine/shop/direct mail. We got really excited until we talked to other family members who still practice semi-traditional R.E. (short sale, working with investors that buy...) We told them our plans to start wholesaling as suggested to us. Family response : "Wholesaling (flipping contracts) is nothing but a myth told by gurus to sell...forget it! CASH is king in California"

My thought was "let me take this to my new BP family members." Any thoughts BP california wholesalers/investors? In other words, if you had to start all over (today Jan. 2011) after becoming a casualty of the R.E. fall out...?

My husband an I still have a positive attitudes about returning to R.E., in whatever capacity that works in 2011. However, after fighting with banks/lenders to close loans (before properties lose more value), buyers falling through at the last minute, banks deciding to hoard reo props...our family only seems to think FHA loans close...our family members are NOT optimistic. :cry

What do ya say BP family  ?
We can read! A Stanford Alum and his energetic wife ought to be able to figure this thing out... We know the "I WILL is more important than the I.Q."
P.S. Im enjoying finally leaving a post. I know its long dont kick me off after my first vent. I'll let my hubby leave the next post
