Newbie investor moving to FL

Hi everyone. I found out about BiggerPockets from youtube videos. I'm new to real estate investing, but very interested. I'm most interested in rental properties, and I hope to be able to use them to generate enough cashflow to quit my 9-to-5.

I'm in California right now, but plan to move to Gainesville, FL soon to be closer to family. Seems like there are a lot of Floridians here. I hope I can find some help getting started.

I have a couple friends investing in Gainesville and doing quite well.
