Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie to Bigger Pockets and Real Estate Investments. I am a state tax account by day who spends all her free time traveling, eating and coming up with new business ideas. I was recently introduced to real estate investing by a few friends who have gotten in to the business. I have spent the last week reading articles, books (the millionaire investor by Gary Keller is what I started with ) listening to podcasts and trying to learn everything i can about investing. There is a lot of information out there so i am taking my time to learn and my plan is to spend the rest of the year reading, learning, getting my finances on track to invest and soaking up as much knowledge as i can. I bought my first home November of 2017 and I am going to figure out how to use the spare bedroom in my house to generate some income (Air B n B/ Renting it out are the ideas I plan to lock down by the end of 3Q).

I look forward to learning from you all, networking and my goal for 2019 is to invest in at least 1 multifamily property and build my portfolio slowly but with intent. I am excited for the future and ultimately the financial freedom to be able to travel the world to my hearts content while investing back in the communities in a variety of ways.

@Aadejoke Jagunna Welcome to BP family! You will find a ton of great resources here. Start by reviewing everything under the Education section and listening to podcast interviews. Good to hear you picked a good book by Gary Keller. Another great book of his "One thing". Although not about real estate but teaches you to concentrate on one thing at a time. Also if you're into multifamily, then read "multifamily millions" by David Lindahl and book about apartment complexes by Steven Berges.

Best of luck!
