My name is Brian Seidl and I stumbled upon the Bigger Pocket podcast a month ago while looking to grow my real estate investing knowledge and I can't turn the podcasts off.  I have a background in finance and my full time job is in insurance, but have always been interested in using real estate as a wealth building and passive income tool.  My wife and I started our real estate investing journey around 7 years ago during the real estate down turn when we were unable to sell our first house without loosing money, so we decided to keep it and rent it out.  Besides our first tenant, it's been a great experience.  Our strategy has been to use our rental cash flow to accelerate the mortgage on the rental property, but we are now looking to use that cash flow to help us create additional passive income.

We are looking at growing our portfolio of properties (should have done this sooner, but no better time than the present) through more Buy and Holds whether through turnkey or BRRRR. Our first goal is to develop enough passive income to replace our own mortgage payments and then see where this takes us from there. We look forward to the opportunity to be able to learn and network through the Bigger Pockets community!
