Want to break into REI in NOLA

Hello BP community,

I live in New Orleans, LA and would like to break into real estate investment with rental properties. I am looking to learn as much as I can with a goal of making my first deal before the end of the year. I am planning on joining the NOLA REIA and am wondering if anyone on here has any feedback on that group. Would you recommend joining?
