Aspiring Househacker and Landlord, Based in New Jersey (NJ)

Hello all,

I just recently started listening to the BiggerPockets podcast and really perusing through these forums.  The recent episode with Paul Thompson made me realize that I should be spending a ton of time on here learning from the pros, approaching from new perspectives, and meeting like minded (and MORE EXPERIENCED) real estate investors.

I am 27.  I've lived in about seven different towns in NJ growing up, as well as Irvine, California (CA).  I am very interested in primarily getting into the multifamily and house hacking space in New Jersey.  Growing up I was always attracted to houses and real estate, and as an artistic person, I even applied to colleges for their architecture programs - and got into many of them.

I currently work as a Wholesaler in the financial services industry. Long story short, I teach financial advisers about the mutual funds, life insurance products, and annuity solutions the advisers can provide their clients. I also teach them how to build financial strategies for protection, income generation, and wealth transfer.

My goal is to exit corporate America within the next 3 years, to pursue real estate investing as one of my primary sources of lifetime income.  I hope to get to know many of you, work with you, share ideas and experiences, and grow together.

Looking forward to growing my bigger pockets!
