New member Introduction
Good Morning,
I am Mario and I'm very new to the Real Estate game. I must say that since joining BP, I have already learned a lot. A bit about myself and why I want to break into the RE investor world. I am literally your average American Joe. I am 39 years old. I have steady government job. I make over 100k a year, have a decent house, 2 cars and vacation whenever my bank allows me to. I've been at my current job just over 15 years and am eligible to retire in just over 10 years. However, running the numbers, my retirement doesn't seem very feasible. This is the primary reason for my search for financial freedom. I
Needless to say, I am not a millionaire (yet), but I all the same I would like to begin to invest in real estate. At this point I've been as much literature on RE investment as I can my hands on. Bottom line is I don't often get excited about things but when it came to RE, I feel like it’s my 21st birthday and I'm back in Vegas. That being said, I’m posting this to leverage the wealth of knowledge and experience possessed by the members here. I guess I’m really looking for someone to point me in the right direction. Now, with all the reading and self-education I’ve completed, I am somewhat aware that focus should be on specific niche. After considering this, I feel that I might be better doing a couple of flips to get my feet wet and build a portfolio. Rehabbing and flipping seems that it would better suit my current position, but ultimately I would love to own/rent to produce steady streams of income. I know this a forever learning industry and I’m very ready for it. So what knowledge I’ve amassed over the past few months is not even a drop in the proverbial bucket. However, my most of my questions are in the funding aspect.
Like is “Hard Money” easily obtained for a newbie?
Is it more restrictive to someone new?
Are there “Private lenders willing to invest in some one new?
I can go on for days with questions. For the time I’ll just start with these. Thank you in advance to any and all who take the time to read this. And for those who choose to respond. I’ll for indebted as I’m currently a really small fish in an giant ocean.
