Looking to learn -- DC metro

Hello,

My name is Aaron I recently graduated from college. I am working at the moment but I am planning to be in school for a long time (medicine). I look forward to having a nice salary one day, but for now I have no money. To be a competent investor in the future, I want to invest time now into learning the ropes. I have been reading the fundamentals about the different niches in real estate, but I would like to get real experience.

I am looking for an established investor in the DC metro area who would be willing to let me "shadow," a word used in the medical world that basically means learning by tagging along with an actual physician.  My goal is to build a solid understanding of the basic principles in real estate investing such as property valuation, financial analysis, executing a deal, etc. I am able to dedicate 10-15 hours per week.

I would also appreciate any advice here on the forums on what constructive things I could be doing for the next ~10 years while I'm in school.

Thank you, Aaron
