I'm a new member from Seattle, WA!  I've been a finance nerd since childhood and started investing in rentals accidentally when I moved from Florida to Seattle and started renting out my single family home.  I'm here on BiggerPockets because I'd like to start investing in multifamily rentals.  I enjoy my job and don't plan to quit any time soon, but my goal is to replace my earned income with passive income from real estate to achieve financial independence.

So far I've read Multi-Family Millions by David Lindahl and am in the middle of Crushing It In Apartments and Commercial Real Estate by Brian Murray while I evaluate deals on the MLS for practice. Once I'm through these two books I'll start searching more diligently and make my first deal. Seattle is a tough market right now, but I'm optimistic that deals can still be found or created.

I'm looking forward to being part of the BiggerPockets community!

Megan Heffernan have you considered the Spokane market? It’s still not easy to find great deals but I am finding some. If you’d like to chat sometime shoot me a message ;)
