New to the forum, interested in NH & SC!
Good Evening Everyone,
My name is Todd and I am located in Bow, NH. I've joined this site to pursue my dream of being free to invest in real estate as my full time job. I'm currently located in NH, but we are looking to move to somewhere around the Summerville, SC area within the next 5 years. My goal is that when we move south, I don't need to get a regular job.
As with so many other people on this site, money to get the next deal is difficult. My intent is to start with small flips that I can develop sweat equity in and gradually work my way up to larger flips/ buy and hold single/ multifamilies. I'm hoping to find either an owner financing deal or possibly partner with someone. I work in as a superintendent in commercial construction, right now I'm helping to wrap up a 122 unit luxury condo complex in Somerville, Ma. I've spent ten years in residential/ commercial construction as a carpenter, so I have the ability to do frame to finish on just about anything, and now that I am a construction superintendent I manage large construction projects everyday. I also have an Associates degree in Accounting which works out great for running the numbers. I have worked for several successful local real estate investors as a carpenter which has helped to ignite my passion for real estate. I did do one flip about 10 years ago, but it happened to also coincide with the market crash, not to mention I was totally unprepared for what I got into. Long story short, many lessons for the future were learned and I'm ready to get back into it.
I'm hoping to start investing around the Columbia area because the cost of entry in the market is just so much lower, then head over to the Charleston markets. I'd also be interested in local investing in NH.
I'm looking forward to connecting with people from the site and learning tons!
