Newbie from Monticello, GA.

My name is Jeffrey Lee.

I currently have a full time job in telecommunications. I have worked for the same company for 18 years. I have seen the direction we are headed and want to develop a secondary income stream.

My experience with real estate is buying my own homes. I am an DIYer so I have done the gut and remodel of my first home and now working on my Mothers home close to me. I used to have my own business of installing under penning on new mobile homes along with building the decks on the front and back. We also would perform the trim out work on the marriage line in double and triple wide homes. Really nothing I can't do myself. 
Now for investing. I have been reading and developing knowledge on the subject of real estate investing for quite some time and am now ready to pull the trigger on my first property. In my market we have very little multifamily units so I am looking at single family homes for now. The foreclosure inventory is still quite high around me. So I feel I can get some pretty good deals based on what I am seeing thus far. I will be using the tools provided on this site to assist me in making the determination of what is a good deal and what is not.

I was introduced to bigger pockets by a friend in the apartment buying and building business. He is very successful and has provided some guidance for me to get started and will be a great resource as well as bigger pockets to bounce ideas off of and learn as I go.
