Newbie from Pittsburgh, PA

Hey everyone!

I'm Dylan (24 M), and I'm from Pittsburgh, born and raised. Right now, I work as chemist at PPG, but I'm looking into REI as a means of FI, and I found BP! I've listened to a few podcasts, read a few books (with a few more on the list). I plan on focusing on notes, performing at first, and then working my way to non-performing.

My goal is to be be able to retire early, bringing in around 50-60k/year passively. I have no idea if this is realistic or not, but that's never stopped me from trying before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and best of luck to all of the other investors out there!

Welcome Dylan!

I am also new to the BP community, originally from Pittsburgh and now living in Orlando. I'm not too familiar with note investing although I have purchased the Real Estate Note Investing book here on BP to learn more.

Have you considered investing in any properties in Pittsburgh? Being that I am from the area and familiar with most of the towns I have been looking into commercial and larger multi-family units there since they are substantially cheaper than here in FL.

Best of luck to you in pursing your goals.
