New to investing in Queens, NY

Greetings everyone I am JD Stephens from Queens NY. I am new to investing and will be starting my journey in wholesaling. I do have some experience in real estate but only in rentals. I have always wanted to get into investing but I was great at making excuses on "why not now". And that's part of why I decided to make this introduction. It's time to stop making excuses and start taking action.  I have in recent months while going on walks while listening to youtube videos or BP podcasts, created a lists of about 50-60 physically distressed homes. Next I will be looking these properties up & skiptracing them as well. I haven't decided yet if I will do direct mail, cold calling, RVM or some form of mixture of them.

Eventually I would like to move into fix & flip & further down the line rentals. But all in good time. One of the main reasons I am getting into this business is to help people. I have always wanted to be able help others while building a future for my family at the same time and I see this as an avenue to make this happen. If anyone knows of any meet ups or reia's local to queens or nyc in general that would be  appreciated. But all advice is welcomed and greatly appreciated. I look forward to learning from & growing with you all.

P.S. I will be improving my picture soon but didn't want to keep using not having one as an excuse.
