Getting Started in Eastern PA
Hi Everyone,
Not quite a new member as I've been a long time reader working on building up my knowledge base but this is my first post as I'm finally ready to jump in and take action. I live in the western suburbs of Philly and am interested in buy and hold rentals in Philly or maybe Allentown/Bethlehem or other areas reasonably accessible from where I live. Even though I'm planning on using a property manager, my wife and I still want to be able to get a feel for where we're buying. We're thinking small multifamily (2-4 but maybe up to 6 in the right circumstances) are most likely to make economic sense. Any recommendations for agents in those markets? Specific neighborhoods/areas to look at? We're thinking about targeting Manayunk in the Philly area but open to other ideas. Any BPers with any tips for a newbie? Also would love to network with people in the area. Thanks!
