Newbie from Birmingham Alabama

Good Morning BP!

First, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Sean Leopard, and I was born and raised in North Alabama. Recently, I graduated from college and now work as a Public Accountant in Birmingham, AL. I have been listening to the Bigger Pockets Podcast for about a year now and reading various discussions specific to my areas of interest. After "lurking" throughout this website for a while now, I decided to finally introduce myself.

This being said, I am highly interested in investing in the North Alabama area, as well as the Birmingham Metro area. I believe that Alabama, specifically Birmingham and Huntsville, has a good potential for growth in the coming years. My investment goal is to begin buying small multi-family properties (2-4 units) and renting them out. Through these investments I want to develop strong cash flows that will provide me with stable side income. Eventually, I would like to move up to larger rental properties with same goal of creating stable cash flows for myself. At the current moment I am saving up to buy my first deal and plan to do so within a year. I look forward to being able to network with fellow investors and can't wait to see where this journey takes me.

Welcome to BP. I am also in North Alabama, West of Huntsville. I have been trying to educate myself over the last 14 months, and am currently looking for my first deal. I hope to purchase a SFR in the next couple of months. There are several monthly networking opportunities in the area, ALAREIA hosted by Brian Trippe from Birmingham, Madison County Real Estate Investors Association, Tom Zurn hosts Tennessee Valley Real Estate Investors at Tim's Cajun Kitchen, John Morey has a monthly mixer at the clubhouse where he lives.
