I'm super fired up to get into real estate investment. I've been in banking for a little over a year now as a Personal Banker. In that time I've met more real estate investors than I can count, from single family to commercial, both small scale players and mega investors.  I've enjoyed listening to all the BP podcasts and it's time for me to take that ever crucial first step and dive into the market.  I've set a goal of purchasing a rental property in 2018 and by all means it will happen.

A little background about myself. I am an Econ major from the University of Dayton and a former Division 1 Baseball player.  I have the typical competitive drive you'd expect out of an athlete. I also love analytics, the truth is always in the numbers, and I love the endless strategies and systems RE investors have derived to be successful.

My goal for my experience on BP is to of course become more knowledgeable about the RE market in general, but more specifically learn how to be a successful out of state rental property investor. Also, I am open to all job opportunities within the RE world.

@Olivia Jones Thank you for the welcoming. I am already super excited to see some great feedback to one of my posts on the starting out forum.  In short, I won't use the common excuse that the California market is to saturated or overpriced to find cashflow, I know there is opportunity everywhere. However, Buy and hold has definitely captured my interest and I feel like out of state at least in my case is a better way to start out. I'm sure my startegies and locations will change over time.
