People want free money

People I talk to about real estate investment often give me blank stares after a few minutes. You know the look, that blank stare like no one is home upstairs. The other day at work, on my way out the door, I usually pass the night guard. Sometimes I make small talk. He mentioned that he works three jobs due to losing his primary job as a trade technician. I told him that even I work for major corporation in finance and accounting, I have to do investments like real estate. It is not about working long or harder, but smarter.

Then the blank stares comes in. I told him everyone starts at the bottom in real estate. Learn, save, analysis, and then first property. Then more and more. Rinse and repeat. I gave him the website bigger pockets.com.

I feel that most, even 90%, don't want to do the work involved and want free money. Find tree that grows money, free lunch, golden goose, unicorn, etc.
