JTRAIN: Hello Everyone

Funny story
I went on a website, saw a house selling for 22 mil with a NOI of 1,575,000. I went to the bank the next day looking for a loan. . Banker asked me if I had collateral. Had no idea what she meant. Now I know .... She told me I needed money in the bank, income and great credit.

Hello everyone, I'm Jtrain! I live in NYC, Currently at NYU pursuing Real Estate. After wasting 3 years of college, not knowing what i wanted to do, I finally found my path. I want to be a real estate investor. I can make money through investments. With the money I can fulfill my dreams. My passions are traveling, filmmaking, and creating programs for the inner-city youth. With enough cash from my investments I will pursue those passions. This is my first semester taking Real Estate. Right now I need to become financially literate.

On a financial literacy scale of 1 to 10, I consider myself a 1. I'm a creative artsy guy so stepping into the financial world is like night and day. I want to learn all about real estate, finance, anything that can help me along my way.

In terms of economic status. My mother doesn't make much money and my father is not in my life. So I don't have any financial support to springboard my investments.

I am going to be graduating May 2012 from NYU. I currently have a 3.8 gpa. Haven't done any internships as of yet and i'm looking for guidance.

My journey begins....

I don't have a credit card but last week I applied for a Chase Student credit card. Hopefully that gets approved.

Anyway, good to be part of your community. I'm fresh out of the water, looking for guidance
