Newbie in the Buckeye State

Hello, I figured it is time for me to introduce myself since I have submitted my first offer on a property and at the same time gotten outbid on my first property. 

I am an accountant from Columbus, Ohio who has recently acquired an interest in Real Estate Investing after listening to podcasts, reading books, and learning from the Bigger Pocket Forums. As I mentioned, I recently put an offer in  on a duplex, in my childhood town, but unfortunately did not get it. As a newbie to Real Estate, I want to go the house hacking route to acquire my first property and then once I have my house hack property, I plan on ..... well I haven't quite got that figured out yet. One baby step at a time!

Since I am in the very early stages of it all, any and all tips and/or recommendations about the Columbus Real Estate Market or Real Estate in general would be greatly appreciated. 

I look forward to the journey ahead and I am so happy to have found BiggerPockets and the resources it provides to lead me to Financial Freedom by the age of 30.

Columbus is my old stomping grounds. The best place to be in the Mid West. Student of mine just texted yesterday - got a duplex to house hack in Westerville.
