Newbie in Austin, TX

Hi, my name is Scott Fehrenkamp.  I'm an Austin native, work in the mortgage business, looking to get started investing on the side.  Looking for build long term wealth, passive (or semi-passive) working toward financial independence.

Not really trying to be a full timer; thinking rental/buy and hold is for me.

For now, looking to get into my first 'house hack', or otherwise buy a primary residence that can be made into a nice investment property as well.

Outside of work and RE, you'll probably find me hiking down at the greenbelt, paddleboarding on town lake, or catching some blues around town.
