New to Real Estate Investing in the Seattle Area

Hello!

I am new to BiggerPockets and new to real estate investing. I have purchased and sold many homes over the years, but these have always been my primary residence. I'm looking to invest in a small number of rental units (10 or fewer) in order to increase my cash flow and create a portfolio of properties to boost my asset value.

I have a great job, and I'm not looking to get rich with real estate, but I do plan on retiring early and I believe owning real estate can help me do this. I'm also a bit of a real estate geek, and the idea of owning a few properties is very appealing.

I'm in the Seattle area, which is very expensive at the moment. I'm not opposed to looking outside of the state of Washington.

I'm looking forward to learning all that I can about real estate investing, and sharing my knowledge with others.
