Hello BP. I have to say this site is a godsend. I have been interested in real estate investing (specifically flipping and rentals) for about 10 years now, but never knew where to begin and where to find any info to get the ship moving.

I am currently in the preliminary learning stage. I am 38 yrs old. a father of 2 daughters( 7,&5) husband of 6 yrs. living in Woodstock VT for the past 10 yrs but was Born and raised in Albany NY. I have 12 years experience in the construction industry and additional experience outside the professional construction. 10 years of cabinetry and woodworking experience, 7 years as a high end residential electrician (no license), 2 years roofing,  drywall, plumbing, trim work... are all in my wheel house. Friends call me "Doug Vila"..lol  I'm a jack of many trades, master of none.  I am looking to invest in real estate to build a future and allow opportunity for my wife and children as well as utilizing the skill sets i have gained over my years of  . I am a low middle class blue collar worker, and i don't my kids to have to do some jobs i have done just to earn a paycheck. I want my kids to be able to attend ANY college they choose, and to be able to chase their dreams and invest in them selves to establish a sense of worth. I want to be able to know that if something happens to me, my children and wife will not have to worry or have a lifestyle change for the worse.... I look forward to connecting with the members of this site and engaging in good conversation. I will leave you with a quote that i have adopted " if you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting" Change fosters growth and ' DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!
