Hello all, I am a new member here at bigger pockets. I’ve discovered this forum and the podcast about two weeks ago and have been hooked on it ever since. I am looking into investing in my first property and doing a househack (renting out the other rooms). It seems like Northern Virginia market is incredibly hot. Properties are off the market within a couple weeks after listing. For those of you in the area (or those living in other hot real estate areas), what are some good types of houses that will be easy to rent out to young professionals? Currently I’m looking into houses or townhouses with a basement with a full bathroom. If there are any meetups in the area, please let me know. I will be happy to stop by and connect with all of you. Eugene

Buy in a desireable area and it will be easy to rent out rooms. Alington, Alexandria, Springfield, Falls Church, Reston, Fairfax, Silver Spring, Bethesda, Rockville, DC proper are a few places that room rental demands stays high.
