Introduction/Class Project Help
Hi All!
My name is Preston and I am an aspiring investor from the metro Detroit area. I have been a big fan of the BP podcast and forums for for a couple years now but never fully jumped in until now!
I have minimal experience but I am very eager to learn from the members here! I currently own a single family home and I am renting out the two spare bedrooms I have. Through the podcast I learned that this "house hacking"! I have had a positive experience so far and I am looking to continue down this path and grow my portfolio this year by having my second deal be a owner-occupied 2-4 unit home.
What motivated me to finally post is a class project that I am very excited about!
I am currently finishing up my Masters and I chose to take a Real Estate Finance class, So far it has been everything I have hoped for and I am learning a lot! I have a great professor that really challenges his students and pushes us to get out of our comfort zone. Our final project consists of completing 3 face to face interviews with current investors/property managers in the Single family, Multi-family, and commercial markets. I felt this project is a great opportunity to start participating in the forums and start connecting with experienced investors in my area.
I was hoping there were a few people out there that would be willing to let me have 20 mins of their time to let me buy them coffee and ask a few questions about their experiences!
If there is any one in the Metro Detroit area that is interested in meeting up, PM me and I give you more details.
Thank you!
