25 Years Old and Kind of Househacking from Portland, OR

My name's Nick and I just bought my first house Nov 2017. I'm an engineer by day and have been trying to figure out different ways to invest and turn money into more money! I recently just discovered investing and personal finance within the last year on my 1.5hr commute to work everyday and am stoked on the idea of exiting my career early to pursue other interests. I love discussing different strategies, talking numbers and coming up with creative solutions to financial problems. I started listening to the BP podcast in August 2017 and 3 months later jumped into the game. I currently have a 3 bed 2 bath house that's 5 min from work. 1 room in my house is rented out already and I'm trying to fill the other room by the end of March to maximize my savings for the year. Househacking will only cover 75% of my mortgage, however I get to live for cheap and am only 5min from work which grants me 3+ hours of extra time which I've been using to plan my finances and build the foundations of another side business. I plan on putting my househack income towards my next deal which I want to be a 2-4 unit property. I'm pretty motivated to continue down this path of financial freedom and to use real estate investing as one of the vehicles to get me there. I'm always trying to read and learn more about real-estate, investing, business, entrepreneurship and engineering and would love to meet some like minded individuals on here!
