A big Texas Howdy from Houston
I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone in the community. A good friend who I met through my local REIA mentioned this site, so naturally I followed her advice and have joined!
I have been a long-time student of RE investing, and am now ready to put all that training into practice. I actually let my first wholesale deal slip through my fingers out of FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real). It was a complete gutted rehab down to the studs, and I let it slip through my fingers because we were ~ $2k apart on an agreed price with the motivated seller. Six (6) months later someone else scooped up the deal, and it is now on the market (completely rehabbed) for $109k. As my Mentor said in retrospect, we were "close enough" that I should have closed the deal. I will not make that mistake again.
I am looking for Landlords and those who like to Rehab in the greater Houston area.
