I'm a mid-career engineer with aspirations to retire early for greater time freedom with the family.

Some BP highlights for me so far:

I've waded through hours of Josh Dorkin-filled podcasts.  Amazing resource.  Favorite so far... Jeff Brown

I've bought the J Scott book on rehab costs.  Incredible.

I've connected with a few local BPer's (HUGE THANK YOU)

I've read Dave Van Horn's Intro to Note Investing and used the forums to select a SD solo401k provider.  Mind blown.  I had no idea this stuff existed last year!

Anyway, it's time for my first post.  I have a lot to learn and I'm looking forward to the journey.  Give me a shout if you'd like to connect or if you have any feedback or advice to throw my way.  Thanks for anything!!

My goals for the year:

1. Establish an LLC and roll over an existing IRA to a SD solo401k.

2. Make one great buy and hold RE purchase.

3. Put a decent chunk of solo401k capital to work in RE investments outside of buy and hold rental houses.  Targeting syndication investing, private lending and note investing.... but not all at the same time - I'll be actively networking for partners who've done it before in any of those areas and I'll build them out as I find the right people.

Any next steps I should take that come to mind?

Any person you know that I should contact?
