New Investors in Rockford, Minnesota!

Hi everyone!

My wife and I are new investors in the western end of the Twin Cities, currently residing in Rockford. We are renting an apartment but we plan to buy a small multifamily property to house hack in. We hope to find one in the west side of the cities.

I've purchased and read/listened to several of the books mentioned in Brandon Turner's list of books he recommends reading. I feel I have a slight grasp on rental property investing and managing and am excited to test my knowledge!

Anyways, I hope we can find something to kick off our real estate investing journey! I also hope I can stay active in this community and be quick to turn to the well educated group that makes up this forum space. I look forward to any feedback and support from you!

With much appreciation for you all,

Ben Davis

@Ben Davis

Welcome BP, this is most likely one of the best decisions you could have made! I think your idea of house hacking a multi is superb. That is by far one of the best ways to get into Real Estate (it's how I did). Not only do you get part or all of your mortgage paid for but you also get the hands on experience of being a landlord and all that entails.

I am excited for both of you, best of luck and don't be shy about posting in the forums.
