Greetings in Minneapolis

Hi everybody,

I'm almost through reading my first Bigger Pockets real estate investing book and decided to supplement my learning with engaging in the BP community.

I'm a 24 year old working in IT, looking to find other streams of income outside of my 9-5. My mother was a real estate agent and she got me interested in RE at a young age. I now have the resources and am of age to start purchasing properties, I just need to gain some knowledge on real estate investing and connect with some like-minded folk.

Duplexes/Triplexes interest me greatly - being able to live in other part of the property you're renting out seems like a great way to get one's foot in the door. I'm also interested in Single Family homes.

Disclaimer: I'm planning on moving for my job in the near future - so I'm (probably) not looking to buy in the Minneapolis area right now. I just want to connect and pick others' brains about real estate investing!

Just testing the waters to see what like-minded folk are out there. If you're wanting to connect, drop a line!

Thanks,

Joe
