An Introduction and Greeting

Hello everyone!

My name is Jason Pack.  I am from Virginia Beach, Virginia and I am starting my real estate journey.  I am a licensed real estate agent and I am learning more about the industry as I go.  So far, I've managed to land a job as a property manager's assistant and I am in training to become a property manager.  I decided this would be a beneficial way to gain experience and capital at the same time.  I want to acquire my first rental property before the end of 2018 and I figured what better way to learn how rental properties are managed than by managing someone else's!  My goals are to gain a little cash by working full time and wholesaling/flipping on the side.  Then, once I get some money saved up I can purchase a property and keep it as a rental investment.

I also want to start a real estate group in my area and online.  I think that would be more beneficial than joining one of the established groups in my area because they seem to be more financially focused, rather than community focused.  What I'm looking for in a group is something relatively small, possibly 10 to 15 people at the most to start with.  Of course, I wouldn't be opposed to expanding once it's established but I want close ties with people currently.  I would prefer the people to be in my area, so I can meet them face to face and work on local deals, but I am open to the idea of sharing experiences from other states.  I am always looking for new people and different opinions.  I am working on a couple of projects and would love to speak to people who are just starting, seasoned vets, and anything in between.
