New to Bigger Pockets (Construction Loan advice) & RV Park too!

Hi there, I've known about Bigger Pockets for a while now and I've searched these forums and gotten loads of information but haven't done anything with it until today.

I'm 40 years old and have 15 years experience in the construction industry. I started out in estimating (commercial & some residential) and then I moved on to construction superintendent in residential construction. After that I worked several years as a purchasing agent, then manager until switching back over to commercial as a project manager.

Somewhere in the latter part of that I got married and started having children, 3 kids in and I took a "break" from work.

Now, I'm ready to get back in the game but not like before. First, I would like to take on the project of building our "forever home". We are looking to purchase a few acres outside of Houston up near Huntsville, Texas and I would like to do a self build. I realize that in the state of Texas you need a builder of record so I'm on the hunt for one of those as well as a lending source. I have talked to several lenders but specifically I'd like a 10% down jumbo product that accepts self employed borrowers (my husband has his own business) and will be flexible with closing because we will be trying to sell our existing home. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, I'd like to buy a piece of commercial property and develop a RV storage/ RV Park. Something smaller probably around 10 acres. I would like to partner with someone who's done this before. Again, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Glad to be here!
