The very first day on bigger pockets

Hello everybody, my name is Alvaro, I would like to meet people in the Atlanta-Gainesville area to network and try to learn from their experiences, I hadn't had any luck I think and also made mistakes trying to generate some income from rental properties. I'm stuck in my 40 hrs job which I will quit if I can succeed in real estate since is what I like.

I'm trying to get licensed in real estate to offer and search properties since I haven't been able to find an agent who I can feel comfortable working with.

I have a bit of cash and good equity in my house that I can use I guess to get the first property I would like to get multi families in the Atlanta area I saw a few duplexes for 75-85k or how about convert singles into duplexes? Is that too complicated?

What's the average price per unit for a property that is already rented and in need of some updating in a multi?

Does 30-35k sounds too crazy?
