New member to BP, possibly the youngest...
Hello all, my name is DeJuan Robinson. I’m 20yrs old from Indianapolis, IN currently serving active duty in the U.S. Navy in Virginia Beach, VA. I’m here because I’ve always had an interest in real estate and wanted to pursue it as a career but couldn’t even begin to think of where to start looking for training or help. I ran across BP while doing research on the internet and immediately got hooked. I want to start off in the real estate business flipping houses and eventually branch off to commercial real estate. I’ve read different articles, just ordered The Book on Flipping Houses by J. Scott as recommended by BP. I understand some of the basic concepts of it but still need a lot more education about it before actually getting started. Just seeing if any of the more experienced people in the BP community could give me any tips, help, dos & donts, links to articles, good books to read, webinars....etc. I’m open to any and everything, I’m eager to learn and get started. Thanks for reading my post and hope to hear from everyone soon!

Welcome. You definitely aren’t the youngest, but starting early is good. Usually military have the capacity to save money so that’s a huge plus.
Buy local if your market allows. If you end up here you’ll do great.

Good luck and thanks for your service.
