Newbie in the Northern Virginia / DMV area

Hey BP Members

I've been listening to the podcast for nearly a year now, and finally decided to post to the forums. It's clear that being active in forums can really help with the learning curve for real estate investing. Listening to Bigger Pockets helped me in more ways than one. I used to be a financial consultant offering advice on how people could reach a happy retirement at 55+ years of age all the while knowing I would never want to be working until that age. Because of BP i stepped away from that position because I was doing something I didn't believe in or even subscribe to!

Fast forward a few months and I've just completed my first Live-in Flip and am now renting out the basement for income. I've also wholesaled my first deal and looking to do more! I actually have another deal lined up, but no cash buyer. If interested please let me know!

My goal is to be my idea of financially free in 5 years and I know it's possible if i put in the effort and grow, learn, and sometimes teach when I can here on Bigger Pockets!!

Please feel free to offer any advice for a newbie :)
