New Investor in the Kansas City area

Hi all,

Like the title says, I'm a brand new investor (really a wanna-be investor) in the Kansas City area. I'm working two jobs trying to save up money for my first investment (I'm thinking of house hacking an FHA). Any advice would be appreciated, but I'm really looking for a way to connect to other investors who can help point me in the right direction (hence, why I'm here).

Essentially, I'm looking for any advice that will help me to better know my market (for those that know the area, I'm thinking Kansas City, KS in zip-codes 66106 or 66103) or maybe how to start finding deals I might be able to help other investors with until I can get my first deal. Truth be told, I'm not really sure what to ask.

Thanks in advance and I'm looking forward learning!
