Dallas TX Newbie Looking To Create Generational Wealth!

My father is a master carpenter, mother is his hustling partner. So I always saw myself diving into the world of construction, home remodeling, design, investing, etc. someday (also watching endless hours of HGTV as a teen definitely does something to your brain). Even though the idea of becoming an entrepreneur frightened the hell out of me, I grew some resolve and mulled over my options. Would I become an agent? Would I build a business by flipping SFRs (I know acronyms now)? How are people getting the cash to do any of this stuff anyway? And what the heck is bird-dogging?

I listened to podcasts, asked many questions to my realtor friends, even bought my own home in the process. During my ongoing education, I noticed that every question I Googled led me straight to BP. Either you guys do an amazing job at SEO or this community is something I truly need to be a part of.

So I'm here. Looking to get started as an investor in multi-family homes in Houston (my hometown) and Dallas proper. My excitement is now louder than my fear, can't wait to get rolling. I'm a sponge so looking forward to connecting and learning from all of you. Any thoughts towards funding investments with home equity loans, being a landlord, business plans, private money, multi-family complexes, please feed me with your experiences!

My name is Johnathan Mark and I'm an Events Marketing Manager for Uber by profession.

Thanks all!
